This collection consists of correspondence to the editor and Agi Maier, and his unpublished manuscript concerning the Kennedy assassination.

Collection Historical Note

Hulie W. Freeze was born in Rusk County, Texas on October 31, 1908. He served in WWII and wrote many letters to his friend Agi Maier that he met while in the service. He is also known as a prolific writer; his most known works are his numerous letters to the editors of the Daily Sentinel and the Houston Post. Freeze also traveled to Dallas the day after President John F. Kennedy was assassinated to do some research of his own. He wrote a manuscript of over 200 pages describing his findings while in Dallas. Hulie Freeze was a 1939 graduate from Stephen F. Austin State University and gave two $10,000 gifts to the Alumni Association for scholarships. Hulie Freeze died on February 13, 1995 at the age of 86.
