Clarence P. Harris Jr. was a medical doctor who honored his country by serving in World War I, and was honorably discharged in 1917. Clarence married Jessie Garrison, daughter of John T. Garrison. John T. Garrison was the son of T.S. Garrison, of whom Garrison, Texas is named and was also one of the founding fathers of Timpson, Texas.
